Northpointe Council, Inc. is hiring a full-time Nursing Supervisor to oversee LPN's and RN’s in a 24 hour residential detox center.

Nursing Supervisor Education and/or Experience:

NURSES (RN’s & LPN’s)

Full and part-time positions available working at First Step Center, which is a 24 Bed Detox facility.  We are currently recruiting RN's & LPN’s; including new grads.  Prior experience working with individuals facing substance use disorder is preferred.  Full time RN's & LPN’s work alternating weekends and part time RN's & LPN’s are required to work at least one shift every 2 weeks.

Work Experience:

Substance use disorders experience preferred but not required.  New Grads and New RN’s & LPN’s are encouraged to apply.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR - PREVENTION & EDUCATION DEPT.

Looking for a full-time Program Director to oversee the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of our substance use Prevention and Education Program.

Educational Requirements:

Prefer Master's Degree (M.A. /M.S.) in a related field (such as Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Education, etc.).

Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) or Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) certification preferred (as defined by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services; OASAS).

Required Experience:

Prefer five (5) years paid experience in a human service setting (mental health or substance use disorders setting preferred) OR equivalent combination of education and experience; a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience required.

Program Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Northpointe Council Inc.’s Prevention & Education Program including but not limited to providing direct supervision of prevention services and employees, program staffing, completion of monthly, annual and other reports, program scheduling, drug-free communities grant oversight, staff training, community relations, establishing and maintaining partnerships with schools, community groups and agencies, and ensuring that the program is operating in compliance with OASAS, County and other regulatory requirements.

PREVENTION SPECIALIST (FULL-TIME)

Looking for a full-time (35 hours/week) Prevention Specialist to provide community and school-based prevention education to children, adolescents, and adults throughout Niagara County. Seeking candidates who are empathetic, motivated, and passionate about helping others. Job duties include presenting prevention education programming; designed to educate and empower youth and their families to make safe and healthy choices. Programs are evidence-based, and provide tools and support to Niagara County youth, their families, and communities. Curriculum for Kindergarten - 12th grade focuses on social-emotional learning, character education, and addresses the risk and protective factors that promote and/or inhibit healthy youth development.

Education & Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field (education, human services, criminal justice, social work, counseling, etc.); with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth. Training, presentation, and/or workshop experience is preferred.

Program Director Education

Substance use treatment experience required, AND at least two years of full-time clinical supervision experience in the last five years.

CERTIFIED RECOVERY PEER ADVOCATES (Part-time)

Looking for 2 part-time Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA’s) to encompass all dosing and clinical hours Sunday through Saturday.

Certified Recovery Peer Advocates will be instrumental in the re-engagement of clients, orienting clients to the program, helping clients to understand the benefit of support groups, be a support for clients at appointments in the community, assisting clients in accessing services outside of the clinic to provide stability for continued recovery, among other vital tasks that the clinical staff are unable to address.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)

 Looking for a full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO); The COO position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength, operating efficiency, and provide services to the community.  The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the organization.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizationally, the COO will work collaboratively with the CEO to develop and implement the operational and strategic plans.  The role requires significant leadership skill and ability. He/she will lead and oversee the development of operating and strategic plans.

Attention is to be given to program development, patient quality, fiscal management, compliance and clinical management measures, work culture enhancement and internal communications.

·         Participates in development of long-range strategic plans, organizational structure and objectives for practice management.

·         Partner with the Medical Director to ensure effective and efficient clinical operations and workflows.

·         Participates in establishment and implementation of organizational policies and procedures. Interprets policies, objectives and operational procedures.

·         Participates in the development and implementation of the mission, vision and values of the Center, including the deliverance of high quality, patient focused health care.

·         Resolves problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies for the Center.

·         Evaluates performance and recommends increases, promotion, and disciplinary actions.

·         Analyzes and recommends changes in organizational systems, policies and procedures and ensures their implementation.

·         Delegates authority and responsibility as appropriate.

·         Participates in professional development activities to keep current with trends and practices in health care administration (conferences, journals).

·         Participates in the evolution and refinement of the quality improvement process.

·         Undertakes special projects as directed by the CEO.

·         Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, leadership, to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the mission and vision of the organization, while effectively carrying out the organizations strategic plan.

·         Develop new business strategies to improve the financial growth and overall patient access to quality care.

·         Effectively serving as a resource to the CEO to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, and support the CEO’s vision for internal and external expansion.

·         Communicate key information to the stakeholders of these service areas with respect to managed care, marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, and customer-focused services.

·         Collaborate with outreach department and referral networks to ensure effective partnerships are formed which will facilitate the development and expansion of services.

·         Lead and support key committees as designated by the CEO.                                  

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:         

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Outpatient Treatment Program, Methadone Maintenance Program, First Step Crisis Center, Prevention, Financial, and Human Resource departments.  Reviews program’s overall direction and evaluates the programs in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree preferred. 7-10 years’ experience in healthcare operations leadership preferred.

Demonstrated high-level leadership and decision-making authority is required. Data evaluation, reporting and trend analysis experience is required of this job. A minimum of three years’ experience in Healthcare Project Management is necessary. Demonstrated positive outcomes and best practices in health care and not-for-profit is a necessary function of the job. Experience and high level of accountability of fiscal management and reconciling complex budgets in not for profit health-care management is required. Proficiency in MS Office products, Power Point and Excel is required. Presenting strategies and recommendations for positive outcomes to board of directors and leadership. Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills is required.
