An Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention and Identification Program

Would you know what to look for if you suspected your child was using alcohol or other drugs?

Take a walk through our simulated teen bedroom and search for hidden drugs and paraphernalia, while learning about popular concealment methods. Hidden Mischief includes: a presentation about items in the room, signs and symptoms of use, current substance use trends, and what to do if you think your child may be using drugs!

This 90 minute program is FOR ADULTS ONLY!!

22nd Annual Jack-O’-Lantern 5K Fall Classic Race

The 22nd Annual Jack-O’-Lantern 5K Race is on one of the most scenic courses in the world, beginning and ending at Whirlpool State Park in Niagara Falls, USA. Open to all runners as well as walkers. Pets and strollers are allowed on course but only with the walkers.

This is a family-friendly event that benefits our Prevention and Education Department to provide tools and support to Niagara County youth, their families and communities. Now more than ever, we need your help to help those in our community heal and overcome.

RACE DETAILS

When –  Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10 AM
Where –  Whirlpool State Park, Niagara Scenic Parkway, Niagara Falls, NY
Parking -  There is plenty of free parking available in the Whirlpool State Park
Information -  Online registration will remain open until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place under the park shelter from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.

ALL costumes are welcomed and encouraged!

All proceeds from this event enable Northpointe Council to provide alcohol and substance abuse counseling and prevention services for youth in the community. Last year, over 7,762 Niagara County youth were served and 2,046 presentations were completed through the prevention and treatment services.

PRIZE MONEY

A total of $1,250 is given to the first male and female finishers for first place through fifth place prize money. Trophies awarded for overall male and female winners. Medals awarded to all aged runners who are present. Must be present for the medals.
