NURSING SUPERVISOR

Northpointe Council, Inc. is hiring a full-time Nursing Supervisor to oversee LPN's and RN’s in a 24 hour residential detox center. Our mission at Northpointe Council is to provide high quality person-centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions from the Greater Niagara Area.

Nursing Supervisor Education and/or Experience:

Required: RN with supervisory experience; substance use experience preferred.

NURSES (RN’s & LPN’s)

Full and part-time positions available working at First Step Center, which is a 24 Bed Detox facility.  We are currently recruiting RN's & LPN’s; including new grads.  Prior experience working with individuals facing substance use disorder is preferred.  Full time RN's & LPN’s work alternating weekends and part time RN's & LPN’s are required to work at least one shift every 2 weeks.

Work Experience:

Substance use disorders experience preferred but not required.  New Grads and New RN’s & LPN’s are encouraged to apply.

Skills Set Includes:

Computer literacy (able to type >40 words-per-minute), strong assessment skills, leadership abilities, organizational skills, case management and care coordination, flexibility, interdisciplinary communication, critical thinking, triage and identification of emergent issues, milieu management, empathy for clients, internal and external customer service.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR - PREVENTION & EDUCATION DEPT.

Looking for a full-time Program Director to oversee the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of our substance use Prevention and Education Program. Our mission at Northpointe Council is to provide high quality person-centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions from the Greater Niagara Area.

Educational Requirements:

Prefer Master's Degree (M.A. /M.S.) in a related field (such as Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Education, etc.).

Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) or Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) certification preferred (as defined by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services; OASAS).

Required Experience:

Prefer five (5) years paid experience in a human service setting (mental health or substance use disorders setting preferred) OR equivalent combination of education and experience; a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience required.

Program Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Northpointe Council Inc.’s Prevention & Education Program including but not limited to providing direct supervision of prevention services and employees, program staffing, completion of monthly, annual and other reports, program scheduling, drug-free communities grant oversight, staff training, community relations, establishing and maintaining partnerships with schools, community groups and agencies, and ensuring that the program is operating in compliance with OASAS, County and other regulatory requirements.

PREVENTION SPECIALIST (FULL-TIME)

Looking for a full-time Prevention Specialist to provide community and school-based prevention education to children, adolescents, and adults throughout Niagara County. Seeking candidates who are empathetic, motivated, and passionate about helping others. Job duties include presenting prevention education programming; designed to educate and empower youth and their families to make safe and healthy choices. Programs are evidence-based, and provide tools and support to Niagara County youth, their families, and communities. Curriculum for Kindergarten - 12th grade focuses on social-emotional learning, character education, and addresses the risk and protective factors that promote and/or inhibit healthy youth development.

Education & Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field (education, human services, criminal justice, social work, counseling, etc.); with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth. Training, presentation, and/or workshop experience is preferred.

A/R BILLING SPECIALIST

Looking for a full-time (35 hours/week) A/R Billing Specialist.

Seeking an experienced candidate that is able to multi-task and has excellent organizational skills.

Our potential candidate must be a team player and have prior experience in posting payments with an extensive background in A/R, collections and communicating with insurance companies. Experience in Medicaid billing preferred and a medical billing background is a necessity. Our preferred candidate must have a strong attention to detail.

SECRETARY

Looking for a Secretary to provide administrative support at the Methadone Clinic. Must be available to work Monday - Friday; 6:00am - 2:00 pm. Our mission at Northpointe Council, Inc. is to provide high-quality person-centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions from the Greater Niagara Area.

The job duties include: greeting and directing clients and/or visitors, scheduling appointments, answering/directing calls, performing a variety of clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, receiving payments, faxing documents, type and/or revise memos, envelopes, labels, etc. and securing the office at the close of business day.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Associate’s Degree preferred; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with two years full time paid experience as a secretary/receptionist. Computer skills in word processing are essential and medical billing knowledge is a plus. Ability to type 60 words per minute. Experience with all aspects of office computers.

Looking for a full-time Program Director to oversee our Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Clinic in Lockport, NY. Program Director Education

Required: Master’s degree AND Qualified Health Professional (QHP) Status, as defined by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) regulation.

Program Director Experience

Substance use treatment experience required, AND at least two years of full-time clinical supervision experience in the last five years.

Program Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Northpointe Council Inc.’s Outpatient Clinic including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, utilization review, clinic management, staff training, community relations, along with ensuring that the program is operating in compliance with OASAS, DOH, County and other regulatory requirements.

SENIOR COUNSELOR - OUTPATIENT CLINIC

Looking for a full-time (35 hours/week) Senior Counselor for the Niagara Falls Outpatient Clinic. Experience & Education:
Prefer two (2) years paid full time experience in a mental health or substance use disorders setting OR equivalent combination of education and experience; Prefer Master's Degree (M.A. /M.S.) or equivalent in Counseling, Social Work or Rehabilitation Counseling.
Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Required Qualified Health Professional (QHP) as defined by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) regulation.

CERTIFIED RECOVERY PEER ADVOCATES (CRPA’s)

Looking for part-time Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA’s) to encompass all dosing and clinical hours Sunday through Saturday.

Certified Recovery Peer Advocates will be instrumental in the re-engagement of clients, orienting clients to the program, helping clients to understand the benefit of support groups, be a support for clients at appointments in the community, assisting clients in accessing services outside of the clinic to provide stability for continued recovery, among other vital tasks that the clinical staff are unable to address.
