DRINKING DRIVER PROGRAM
The Drinking Driver Program is operated in conjunction with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. The program is a seven week educational program for persons convicted of driving while intoxicated or impaired. Course content focuses on defensive driving, alcohol and substance abuse education and where appropriate, referred for evaluation and treatment.
The program seeks to provide early intervention by identifying individuals with problems and by educating participants of the impact of driving under the influence. Participants are enrolled in the program through the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
