CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY OUTPATIENT CLINICS

The Council's Outpatient Clinics provide interdisciplinary treatment to individuals and families affected by chemical dependency. The clinics are licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Service locations include Niagara Falls , Lockport , Newfane, and site specific locations at Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, Niagara Falls Alternative School , and Wyndham Lawn Home For Children.

Outpatient Counseling Services are provided in individual, family and group settings. The goal of treatment is to restore healthy functioning and to provide skills necessary to maintain recovery from alcohol and drug abuse. Separate treatment tracks are designed for special populations, including women, Native Americans, dually diagnosed individuals (MICA), African Americans, and the criminal justice population.

Adolescent Outpatient Counseling Services are provided for youth ages 12 through 21 and their families. Services are age-specific, addressing developmental tasks of adolescence as part of the recovery process. Supportive counseling is offered for parents, including parenting skills education.

Family Counseling Services are available for individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drugs of abuse. Family services provide an overview of the treatment and recovery process.

All services are confidential , as governed by New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and Federal Confidentiality Laws.

Services are covered by most insurances. Self-pay fees based on a sliding scale are available for those that do not have insurance.
